Spurs Word On The Tweet

“I beg”, “Another Wimmer” – Loads of Spurs fans react as “unreal” £13.5m colossus is linked

Plenty of Tottenham Hotspur supporters have been left debating the prospects of landing a new centre-back, and this time it is a new name that has emerged.

According to Sport Bild, Spurs have kept a keen eye on Freiburg star Robin Koch and see him as an ideal replacement for Juan Foyth, who they claim could leave north London for Inter Milan.

It’s also believed that the Lilywhites held an interest in the 23-year-old last summer and that he ‘won’t come cheap’ after the Bundesliga outfit rejected an advance of €15m (£13.5m) from rivals RB Leipzig.

Who would you rather have at Spurs next season?

And some of the Spurs faithful have taken to Twitter to discuss Koch coming to the club.

Some believe he’d be a great signing, suggesting that he can’t be worse than Eric Dier, whilst others are worried that he could be another Kevin Wimmer.

The German recently made his debut on the international stage and has averaged 2.8 clearances, 1.4 interceptions and 1.1 tackles from 36 appearances this campaign, via WhoScored.

He’s been likened to Javi Martinez by Bundesliga.com, who also relay Christian Streich’s praise for his “warrior”-like colossus.
