Christian Eriksen has had a turbulent start to the 2019/20 season and has often found himself on the fringes of the first team during the opening stages of the season.
Transfer rumours linking Eriksen to Real Madrid over the summer seemed to unsettle the creative Danish midfielder and it looked as though he would be moving on in the January transfer window. He has made only 14 appearances for Spurs this season, five of which have come as a substitute.
But with the sacking of Mauricio Pochettino yesterday evening and the quick appointment of new manager Jose Mourinho earlier this morning, Eriksen could see an opportunity to revive his Spurs career under Mourinho and he may be able to work his way back into the starting eleven.
Eriksen was signed by Andre Villas-Boas in 2013 from Ajax and has gone on to make 291 appearances and scored 68 goals for the club so far and the fans have been questioning whether Mourinho will give Eriksen a chance at Spurs in the foreseeable future or if he will continue to leave out the Danish international.

Jose Mourinho will turn Wanyama into Prime Matic, convert Harry kane to Lukaku and make Eriksen Prime Fabregas. Wait and see how West Ham will crumble

Eriksen has shown his cards, I doubt he will be in Mourinho’s good books anyway. Good riddance to him.

I’d imagine one of Mourinho’s first remits will be to get the most out of Eriksen and Alderweireld so we can get a fee for them in January. I’d expect to see a lot of them in the next month or so.

And you don't think Eriksen can change his mind? The only move he wants is Real Madrid. They don't want him. He'll probably sign a new contract extension within a few weeks now Mourinho is in.
