According to a report from Italian news outlet Il Mattino, Spurs have joined Liverpool and Man United in the pursuit of Napoli star Kalidou Koulibaly – prompting many Lilywhites to flock to this update.

Koulibaly, who has started 14 Serie A games under Gennaro Gattuso this season, could be seen as an exciting signing given his pedigree both domestically and in Europe.

According to WhoScored, the Senegalese stalwart has averaged a noteworthy 89.3% pass success rate this season whilst making more tackles than any Spurs centre-back in the league.

Will Spurs land Koulibaly?

Yes

No

He has also averaged more interceptions than Toby Alderweireld and wins 2.3 aerial duels per game – potentially highlighting that the 6ft 4 colossus could be a viable asset.

However, Napoli chairman Aurelio De Laurentiis has reportedly remained firm on his €100 million (£89 million) price tag – casting doubt over whether Spurs will be able to afford such a lofty fee.
