Spurs get green light to take on Arsenal in chase for 25-y/o

|

According to the Daily Star, Spurs have been given the green light along with Arsenal to try and sign Eric Bailly this summer.

The Ivorian defender is 25-years-old and is approaching his prime years as a centre-back but has not really shown consistently what he can do at Manchester United.

There is a good player there, though, and Mauricio Pochettino is thought to be a fan of him.

He could well get him, too, as the report alleges that Old Trafford manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has told Bailly that he can leave the club this summer if he wants to.

Whether or not we see him up sticks from the North West remains to be seen but it looks as though both North London clubs are keen on securing his services.

With us guaranteed Champions League football next season, though, perhaps that could give us an edge if it comes to a battle when trying to sign him.
