Report Claims Spurs Will Take A Massive Hit To Move 24 y/o On

|

24-year-old Tottenham Hotspur striker Vincent Janssen hasn’t had a great time at White Hart Lane following his reported £17million arrival from AZ Alkmaar back in the summer of 2016.

With only 12 starting appearances to his name for us since then, he was farmed out to Turkish side Fenerbahce during the 2017/18 season and the expectation was he’d move on last summer but it never happened. An injury then impacted the January transfer window, but there was some surprise when manager Mauricio Pochettino brought him back in from the cold across April and he even got two substitute appearances under his belt as the season came to a close.

Despite impressing some fans with his efforts in the games against Brighton and Hove Albion and West Ham United, it hasn’t quite been a second lease of life at the club and most expect the Dutchman to finally move on this summer with Poch talking about a rebuild.

Spanish outlet Estadio Deportivo have claimed recently that Real Betis have expressed an interest in making a move for him, but they would only be willing to offer 3million Euros as a transfer fee.

That would obviously represent a massive loss on our initial outlay, and I’d be amazed if the club agreed to such a low fee given the way we usually do business. However, with only one year left on his deal now, the alternative is potentially losing him for nothing if we are too hardball.
