Heung-min Son has been in fine form for Tottenham this season and continues to impress on the European stage. The 27-year-old was outstanding in Tuesday’s 5-0 win over Crvena zvezda and was lauded by supporters on social media as a result.

Son scored two goals on the night and was a constant threat for Tottenham. His first came in the 16th minute from an Erik Lamela cross that he side-footed into the roof of the net (2-0) and his second saw him being freed by Tanguy Ndombele and finishing past the goalkeeper from close range (3-0).

Against Crvena zvezda, Son played for 67 minutes, made 53 touches, created two chances, had four shots and three on target, completed 77.1% of his 35 passes, found a teammate from 100% of his crosses, made five tackles and made three successful dribbles.

The South Korean international has made 11 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring and creating eight goals. Son has three goals in as many Champions League games and has scored or made an assist in four of his last six league outings. He’s an important player to Tottenham and deserves his recent Ballon d’Or nomination.
