Pochettino Potentially Without Nine For PL Curtain Closer Against Everton

|

Despite our Champions League heroics against Ajax in midweek, the injury situation for Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino sees no sign of easing for our Premier League curtain closer against Everton on Sunday afternoon.

With long term injuries at the club being well known, following the tie on Wednesday evening against Ajax over in Holland in the Semi-Final CL affair where we fought back from being three goals behind, we can now add Jan Vertonghen, Victor Wanyama and Danny Rose to the list of walking wounded at White Hart Lane.

We also, of course, lose Son Heung-Min and Juan Foyth following their straight red cards in the last game against West Ham United as they serve three games suspensions of their own.

Some players are progressing and there are hopes we’ll welcome a few back for the Final out in Madrid against Liverpool, but it would be a surprise if we saw any of the following this weekend.

Harry Kane and Harry Winks have begun on-field rehab now, and having already mentioned our suspended duo of Sonny and Foyth, Davinson Sanchez is in rehab, Jan Vertonghen has been ruled out, Danny Rose is being assessed for a hamstring problem and Victor Wanyama is also a doubt with a thigh injury.

Physioroom.com also list Serge Aurier as being a doubt.

With the season nigh on at an end and baring a major hiccup on Sunday, nothing riding on the match, I would imagine we won’t take any risks at all with the Final on the horizon.
