Spurs Word On The Tweet

“Please no”, “Who are you kidding” – Plenty of Spurs fans blast “useless” update

|

According to a recent update courtesy of Football Insider, the door has opened for Tottenham to potentially sign Barcelona playmaker Philippe Coutinho on a season-long loan deal or permanently at a ‘significantly reduced‘ price.

Coutinho, who has spent the last season on a temporary spell at Bayern Munich, will not be extending his stay in Bavaria despite scoring eight goals and assisting six others in 15 Bundesliga starts.

Should Spurs sign Coutinho?

Yes

No

Indeed, as per this Football Insider report, Coutinho could be made available as Barcelona look to ship off the 27-year-old, but many Spurs supporters aren’t exactly keen.

Flocking to blast the ‘useless‘ update on Twitter, it appears some Lilywhites consider Coutinho ‘finished‘ at the top level – whilst others deny the credibility of the report.

Despite his current stats, during the Brazilian’s last full season for Barca, he didn’t exactly live up to expectation – as explained by the player himself speaking to Marca last year.

This could be a factor in many supporters being turned off by a potential move, here’s what they had to say on social media.
