According to a report from the Telegraph, £32.4 million-valued Man City defender John Stones has emerged as a top target for Spurs as manager Jose Mourinho aims to bolster his defensive options ahead of his first full season in charge at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium.
Stones, who has suffered through a lacklustre season, featuring just 13 times in the Premier League, has also been a victim of fitness issues recently – having missed 12 games in all competitions through injury.
Should Spurs sign Stones?
Yes, get it done
No, absolute donkey
However, despite not having the 2019/2020 season of his career, Stones starred alongside Aymeric Laporte in huge spells last season as City clinched the domestic quadruple, potentially giving Spurs an incentive to consider moving for the Englishman.
Lilywhites, flocking to this news on Twitter, are divided over a swoop – with some claiming he could be an ‘upgrade on Dier‘ while others state he is ‘absurdly overrated‘.

No thank you. He will be very expensive and is absurdly overrated.

Just what we need, another player littered with mistakes in his game 👏👏👏

there is a quality player in there somewhere, i think this could be a shrewd move, i asked if spurs fans would take him just last week, if paired with toby it could be a great partnership, if he can sort himself out from his issues away from football he could yet be a top cb
