Tottenham fans – and football fans in general – can be extremely fickle. At the moment, with the ongoing issues over a number of senior player’s contract issues, the fans have been going in hard on some of the most loved players from the last few years, and one of those is Toby Alderweireld.

The defender has been given the chance to get away from the club for a week and meet up with his international teammates, and whilst he’s away he’s taken to Twitter to post a picture of himself meeting up with his national side with the caption ‘It’s good to be back’, which hasn’t gone down well with the fans.
The Lilywhites shocking start to the season has led to the fans going in hard on their wantaway ‘contract rebels’ and after seeing Alderweireld’s tweet a lot of the fans have been quick to slam the Belgian, telling him not to come back and calling for him to show the same passion he does for his country at club level.
Does Toby Alderweireld deserve to be starting?
