Kyle Walker-Peters may have an uncertain future at Tottenham after being exiled by Mauricio Pochettino for three months. The 22-year-old was Spurs’ first-choice right-back at the start of the campaign, but he’s not featured in any competition since September.
Walker-Peters has made just four appearances in all competitions this season – 90 minutes in Tottenham’s 3-1 win over Aston Villa (August 10), 90 minutes in Spurs’ 2-2 draw with Manchester City (August 17), 62 minutes in their 1-0 defeat to Newcastle United (August 25) and 90 minutes in their EFL Cup defeat to Colchester United (September 24).
The England u21 international has missed Tottenham’s last nine Premier League games and hasn’t featured at all in the Champions League. Serge Aurier and Juan Foyth are ahead of Walker-Peters in the pecking order, even though the former has struggled for consistency and continues to be linked with a move away from North London.
Who should start at right-back for Tottenham Hotspur?
Serge Aurier
Juan Foyth
Kyle Walker-Peters
If Pochettino doesn’t trust the young right-back over Aurier, does he need to leave in January? Crystal Palace have been linked with a move for Walker-Peters, so a loan move away might suit all parties.
