Tottenham fans have had some wonderful players turn out for the down the years, and one of those was the brilliant effortless goalscorer Dimitar Berbatov. The Bulgarian has recently announced his official retirement, and the fans have been quick to reminisce over the goal machine.
Best of luck in your retirement, Dimitar Berbatov! #THFC #COYS pic.twitter.com/3VdRS07zsP

At the age of 38-years-old, the striker has hung his boots up after an incredible career that saw him turn out for eight clubs in six different countries, although for Spurs fans, the big man’s stats for them really stick out, ad he scored 46 goals and assisted a further 24 in 102 games, as per Transfermarkt.
The way that the striker left the club for Manchester United left a lot to be desired, but that means very little now so many years on, as the fans have been very quick to celebrate their former man and share some choice words on how good he was way back when.
You can read the Lilywhites’ thoughts on Berbatov now he’s retired here:
Such a privilege to have Dimitar in the team and such a crying shame he left….. #coys #thfc

Enigmatic. Our very own Cantona. A shame our ambitions didn’t match his at the time. One of my fave players to have played for us.

In my top 3 favourite spurs players ever alongside Bale and Ginola. I’ve never seen a touch like his, mad skills… I just loved him! And he helped win us our last trophy. Amazing player
