Opinion: The perfect Tottenham signing looks to be going this month and Jose Mourinho should pounce

|

Tottenham fans are all well aware of the fact that they need to bring in plenty of new faces under the management of Jose Mourinho if they’re to turn things around. The current form of the Lilywhites is abysmal, yet things could be turned around this month is action is taken.

It looks like Mourinho has already made the first move to turn things around, as he’s brought in Gedson Fernandes on-loan from Benfica (BBC), but now there are still new changes to be made. For one, an attacking player is needed, be it a striker or someone who frees up one of Lucas Moura or Heung-Min Son to play upfront.

The ideal way this plays out for Spurs fans is that an out and out striker signs to replace Harry Kane whilst he’s injured and then to thrive alongside the England captain from the start of the next season. However, this is Tottenham, and that might not be the case.

The most likely situation for this Spurs side could be to see a talented and technical midfielder come into the side to free up one of Lucas or Son, and if the Lilywhites do go down that route, then they would do well to reignite their interest in Hull City’s Jarrod Bowen.

Hull Live have claimed that the impressive Championship winger could be set to leave the club this window seeing as the youngster has refused to sign a new deal at the KCOM Stadium and there’s a realisation that he could be set to leave for less than the £20m fee the club want.

Will we have a big transfer window?

Yes

No

With that being said, Tottenham were once interested in the Hull City man and it was reported last year by Sky Sports that the Lilywhites wanted the player, although back then it was a £20m fee that was reported, even if they’ll have to pay less now.
