For those Tottenham Hotspur fans who don’t find themselves bored during international breaks in the Premier League, they’d have been keeping a close eye on the England v Croatia Nations League game as we looked for World Cup revenge.
This is how it feels to score the winner for @England at Wembley… 😀#ThreeLions #England 🦁🦁🦁 pic.twitter.com/Z8P89qjEJO

Gareth Southgate’s boys staged a late comeback in the game to take a 2-1 victory, booking their place in the semi-finals of the inaugural competition and Harry Kane was once again the hero on the day as he hit the winner with five minutes remaining in the match.
With Wayne Rooney tipped him earlier in the week to break his record in the future, and Kane trying to play it down – whilst admitting it’s obviously something he’d like to do – Sunday afternoon just saw him take another step closer to that aim.

From a Spurs perspective, we also had Eric Dier and Dele Alli on duty in the game, but Harry Winks remained an unused substitute in the tie.
