Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris has come in for plenty of stick so far in the campaign of 2018/19 and not all of it has been about his performances on the pitch as fans will be keenly aware.
With plenty of on-pitch clangers appearing to creep into the French international’s game giving fans something tangible to hang their criticisms on, he’s also been his usual reliable self at other points so plenty aren’t prepared to write him off whilst he wins us more points than he loses.
With the French taking on the Netherlands on Friday evening in their Nations League clash, they did lose 2-0 on the night but his performance between the sticks as he skippered the side again saw him receive plenty of praise.
He did that all night too, must have been close to 10 saves just like that…..was amazing to see him back to his best (kinda) still conceeded 2 ????

Hugo Lloris on top form tonight. Keeping France in the game against the Dutch. #COYS

One bad game in the UCL and his drink-driving charges have completely overshadowed what has actually been a really solid season from Lloris. Time and time again he’s saved us points in the Prem and he’s consistently strong for France.

Lloris is literally keeping France in the game

Lloris is fully world class when he plays for his country, a bit more error prone but still world class at spurs

Having hopefully silenced a few doubters in recent games, these are the kind of performances we can once again come to expect from the 31-year-old and the more high profile errors creep back out of his game as he remains an important part of the squad.
