“One Season Wonder” “We Keep Being Told He Goes Missing In Big Games” – These Spurs Fans Are Loving This Stat

Tottenham Hotspur created plenty of headlines on Tuesday evening as we took the result we needed from Barcelona at the Nou Camp to book our place in the next round of the Champions League competition for 2018/19.

Having had a poor start to life in Europe this season, manager Mauricio Pochettino oversaw a solid turnaround in results and we more than deserved progression in reality given the performances put in and the results secured – especially when you factor in our poor start could’ve been very different indeed.

One headline that maybe slipped through was highlighted on social media and it brought a smile to my face, mainly because it shouldn’t have been a surprise despite the criticism Harry Kane has received this year, or maybe I should say, the concern expressed over his form.

Our England man didn’t score of course, but he did set up Lucas Moura’s leveller five minutes from fulltime to ensure the draw, and in doing so he racked up a direct involvement in 16 goals in 16 Champions League appearances.

Long may the 25-year-old’s poor form and fatigue continue I think is the only appropriate response.
