It may have been a few years since centre-half Michael Dawson pulled on the Tottenham Hotspur shirt, but he remains well loved amongst the fanbase for his long association with us.
Having started to make his name at Nottingham Forest, Spurs snapped him up for ยฃ4million back in January 2005 and he went on to have nine fine years at White Hart Lane, going on to make well over 250 appearances for the club across all competitions.
Having moved on in the summer of 2014, the now 35-year-old has gone full circle and is back at the City Ground and he was celebrating his birthday on Sunday.
Happy birthday, Michael Dawson! ๐๐#COYS pic.twitter.com/Q71bLOggoh

With the clubs’ social media team Tweeting out the above well wishes and short video clip, it obviously went over well with the fans.
At Forest. Back home.

That’s only a very small example of the comments he received back and I doubt anyone’s really surprised with how positive the messages are. One Tweet, in particular, gained my attention though.
Any excuse to show this again… ๐๐
Many happy returns, Daws! #COYS
