Ominous prediction may put the dampers on Spurs’ CL excitement somewhat

|

The Champions League final is not far away now and every day takes us that bit closer to what could be a famous night in Madrid.

The Lilywhites take on Liverpool and if we can win the thing outright, Mauricio Pochettino is set to go down in history as one of our great managers.

However, if that happens there may be some concern over what he does next with the Juventus job still available.

Indeed, Italian legend Marcello Lippi has predicted that one of the managers involved in the European finals in the coming weeks could head to Turin.

Quoted by Goal, he said:

“Why hasn’t a well-run club like Juventus named the successor to Allegri yet?

“Well, it’s a difficult decision to make, but perhaps they are waiting for a certain competition to end.”

It’s an ominous one because you can see Poch being wanted by Juve for sure.

I don’t see Emery leaving Arsenal, nor Klopp from Liverpool. Sarri leaving Chelsea is probably the one you can see most of all, though, so perhaps that is our saving grace.

Certainly, though, it’s a message that just reminds us of how sought-after Poch is – let’s just hope things remain speculative for now!
