According to A Bola via TEAMtalk that Spurs have re-entered the race for Benfica left-back Alex Grimaldo, with the Portuguese outlet claiming that the Liga NOS side will only accept a bid of €40m (£34m) for their star defender.
With Outside of the Boot comparing the left-back to Barcelona star Jordi Alba, there is a good reason why plenty of Spurs fans on social media were buzzing to see Grimaldo linked with a move to the north London club, with lots of supporters eager to see the Spaniard replace Danny Rose at the club.
Here’s what some Tottenham fans had to say about the club’s reported interested in Grimaldo, with plenty of supporters essentially begging the club to sign the Spanish defender…

Can we offer to drive Danny Rose over there as makeweight & still offer them the €40million for him. I can’t be the only one thinking that would be a fair deal.
