It’s been reported that manager Mauricio Pochettino has highlighted a player he’d like to bring into Tottenham Hotspur, but the reports are mixed. Some say January loan with summer purchase option, others say a deal for the summer only as they angle it. Either way, the player is Udinese’s Rodrigo De Paul.
That hasn’t stopped some fans from getting excited at the prospect of bringing in the Argentine – although in fairness it’s another player I’ve never heard of.
Italian outlet Tuttomercatoweb have linked us with the 24-year-old winger and suggest that we will face competition from Serie A sides Napoli and Inter Milan for his services.
Tottenham have discussed a possible move with the agents of 24-year-old South American winger Rodrigo de Paul. Spurs have presented the Udinese wide man with an offer that will see him initially join on loan in January with a view to making the move permanent in the summer. (TMW) pic.twitter.com/ssGB7VxqQC

For what it’s worth, according to Soccerbase’s stats, it seems he’s a player now showing real improvement in his productivity as since moving to Udinese in the summer of 2016, he now has 76 league appearances to his name, with a further 14 showings from the bench and he’s returned 14 goals. From reading around, his assist tally is commensurate as well.
The Argentine international has racked up 19 appearances in 2018/19, but has returned six goals.
Possibly a player now maturing that compatriot Pochettino feels he can put the polishing touches on?
Perfect. I like this player
