It’s hard to think of a player, especially at Tottenham, that has been able to turn their career round quite like Moussa Sissoko. The Frenchman looked like our worst signing in years for much of his early Spurs tenure, with the midfielder unable to adjust following a move from Newcastle.
He looked out of form, out of place and, simply put, not good enough. It was a sad state of affairs.
However, fast forward to 2019, and Sissoko almost looks like a different player. He’s forced his way back into the plans of Mauricio Pochettino, and through sheer performance quality, he’s made himself an emerging fan favourite in north London.
With fantastic skill, endless energy and surprising consistency, Sissoko has shown why the club brought him in. He was great against Man City prior to his injury, which shows how important he’s become.
