Mourinho can win over the fans this January with this big-name signing – Opinion

|

Jose Mourinho’s appointment as Tottenham manager initially begun with mixed emotions from fans, but the reaction to the news has since evolved into one that the majority of supporters are getting behind.

The Portuguese manager’s first interview as a Spurs boss quickly turned original frustration from supporters into optimism, and comments from Mourinho off-camera that have found their way onto social media have been met with praise from fans.

In less than 24 hours, Mourinho has made himself as a seemingly unfit heir to Mauricio Pochettino to a manager Tottenham fans just can’t seem to get enough of.

Will Mourinho get us into the top four?

Yes

No

The former Manchester United manager has already done his job of winning over a good chunk of fans onto his side, yet there remains a fair number of supporters who remain unconvinced by Mourinho due to how the Portuguese boss has acted towards the club over his career as per The Daily Mail as well as his downfall as one of the best in the industry to something of a joke as per These Football Times.

And as AS report that Mourinho wants to bring Gareth Bale back to north London from Real Madrid, there is a feeling that if the newly appointed Spurs manager was able to pull off such a transfer, the supporters who currently sit themselves in the ‘Mourinho Out’ camp will suddenly pitch up and join in the support of the 56-year-old manager.

Bale’s escapades in Madrid are seemingly coming to an end following his latest stunt after Wales secured qualification to EURO 2020 as reported by BBC Sport, and if Tottenham and Mourinho were to offer the 30-year-old attacker a lifeline back to the Premier League, it would seemingly be something the former Spurs star would take in a heartbeat, and it could be seen as a major accomplishment for the former Chelsea manager.

A return to Tottenham for Bale would be a defining moment in Mourinho’s career at Spurs no-matter how long it lasts, and it would be a move that unites all areas of the fanbase together for a transfer that essentially every support would love to see happen in 2020.
