The Lilywhites will still be adjusting to life under Jose Mourinho, and it’s a period of readjustment that will be very difficult for them all to get to grips with, although by January they should have got to grips with it, and they could be set to welcome Zlatan Ibrahimovic to the club in the new year.

Tottenham have been linked with the big Swedish striker by The Telegraph, and the links between Jose Mourinho and Ibrahimovic seem inevitable, given the pair’s previous working relationship at both Inter Milan and at Manchester United.

However, Spurs fans have got both Harry Kane and Troy Parrott as their two out and out strikers, with the likes of Heung-Min Son and Lucas Moura also capable of stepping into centre-forward roles, and it seems that the fans are desperate to avoid signing Ibra.
