After the deeply deflating events on Wednesday evening as a once again wasteful Tottenham Hotspur failed to capitalise on both chances and possession to secure a result against struggling Burnley, we now have the pleasure of a trip to Elland Road to face Marcelo Bielsa’s erratic roadrunning Leeds United side.
Having largely wasted our games in hand, despite the unexpected but fantastic victory over Manchester City, we remain comfortable (is that the word?) in eighth place and Leeds are 16 points behind us in fifteenth and with three straight defeats and four defeats in five, on paper this again screams victory.
But Spurs don’t do ‘paper’ and with four defeats in the last five for us as well, it could become a very ugly Saturday if we are again not on it. Leeds offer no surprises in their play, but plenty have slipped up if you don’t match them and we simply can’t let it happen again.
Again I couldn’t watch the match but again we won !!
Why so much doom and gloom on the site . Why not welcome a victory . Yes we all know the weaknesses of the team and I can’t see us getting into any of the Euro placings however Levy must tell Conte he will support him which hopefully will persuade Conte to stay and build a team for next season .
