Match Thread – Let’s Hope Spurs Don’t Have Another LASK Gasp In This Match

|

The trials and tribulations of football – how things can change in 45 minutes (or even ten!) for Tottenham Hotspur. After the West Ham capitulation on Sunday evening, we now head into the Europa League Group J clash with LASK.

The LASK gasp comments write themselves after this one, as confidence must have taken a knock and far outweigh the positives we should’ve taken from the last clash at White Hart Lane. We simply have to dust ourselves off and get ready to go again and hope it was simply a blip and that we learn that we can’t become complacent – regardless of what our recent form has been like.

With ongoing good form between Son Heung-Min and Harry Kane, and Sergio Reguilon again showing he can definitely be a threat from the left, we also have to consider Gareth Bale getting a 20 minute run out and what that will do for his own form, confidence and fitness.

I know little about our next opponents, but it’s not my job to get the team bang up for this.

Let’s hope we put the Spammers into the rearview with a performance we had started to expect from Jose Mourinho’s side.

    Hi folks
    Several points maybe to answer.
TQ hopefully our thoughts re the similarity of Burnley and Stoke and wet nights doesn’t come to fruition.
Sorry bout the Emoji thing m8 but when you’ve just learned it’s Brill. 🙂 🙂
Alan agreed re playing these games early can be an advantage, I think it was for Wolves last season.
However its when we start to come to the pointy end of the seasons April/May that these early games take their toll (Wolves again)
With saying that I’m not as worried as I was earlier in the season because I think we can virtually field two strong teams. Or at least a good team and a half.
Whilst I see yours and B108’s argument for the Lower sides as I said I was being completely selfish (for Spurs) in this just thinking that they were needless games which in reality had a pre destined result.
    But take your argument.
    BTW
Result today Man C v W/Ham maybe puts our result last week into perspective.
