For a while, it seemed like Tottenham might re-sign Fernando Llorente heading into the final days of the transfer window, but, the Premier League side have now missed out.

Napoli confirmed the signing of the 34-year-old attacker on their official Twitter account, and although this now leaves Spurs with just one senior striker in the first-team in Harry Kane, supporters still thanked Llorente on social media for his two years of service at the club.

The Spanish striker scored some of Tottenham’s most important goals last season, namely the vital away goal against Manchester City in the Champions League.
