The Daily Mail report that the Tottenham playmaker is set to remain at the club in the short-term due to a lack of concrete interest from Barcelona and Real Madrid, yet Eriksen still won’t sign a new deal with Spurs.
With it seemingly likey that Eriksen will leave on a free transfer, many Tottenham fans are eager on the club using the midfielder as leverage in a deal to bring Juventus attacker Paulo Dybala to north London, a player the club were interested in this summer.
Here is what some Spurs supporters had to say about the idea on Twitter…
If thats the .case levy should be arranging a deal for Dybala to come in to replace Eriksen instead of farting around in January

Trade for Dybala in the winter

I’d rather keep him and finish 4th than get 50m and finish 6th. Right now we need to keep our best players. Can always sell in January if we can get Dybala in

Maybe he goes at Xmas when we pick up Dybala.

Then that's that. Move on try to send him off in January, use the cash for Dybala.

Paulo Dybala Opinion: Imagine the noice that would come out the stadium when he gets subbed on for his home debut. It would be electric and he would be able to take tottenham to challenge for titles. If Eriksen goes he is a must. #backpoch #dybala #thfc #coys pic.twitter.com/b4jYhMKP42

Eriksen will not sign a new contract for the foreseeable future and has three options:
Join real this window late for cheap
Stay until January then be swapped with cash for Dybala
Run down his contract— T.H. (@TottTalk) August 27, 2019
Eriksen has featured in every game for Tottenham this season.
