There are very few Tottenham players who can boast having over 200 appearances for the Lilywhites, yet one of those who can is Danny Rose, one of the club’s most senior players in the current squad. However, it doesn’t appear that many of the fans have got much respect for the 29-year-old.

Injuries have certainly taken their toll on Rose, that much is clear, but the fact that the 29-cap England man is keen to speak his mind on mental health, racism and other topical points in football means that he’s often given unwarranted abuse, and a lot of his own fans have turned on him after Spurs’ latest tweet.
The defender has been out injured as of late, but as the news has come in that Rose is back to fitness ahead of Liverpool’s visit to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium tomorrow, the club have tweeted the news. The replies, though, have been nothing short of disgusting from the Spurs supporters, regardless of what they may think of Rose, he’s a Spurs player and should be supported as such.

Oh god it just keeps getting worse

Oh good. Another game followed by another month-long sulk. On that basis, just four more games til the end of the season left, Danny

Hate to see it

Is this meant to be positive? Feels more negative

Release him

Sell him

The fans spouting abuse towards Rose can hardly be called fans, and that kind of abuse for someone who has given his all for Tottenham for over ten years really need to take a look at themselves.
