Kane’s Attitude Is Spot On Despite Continuing Concerns For Spurs Fans

|

Tuesday evening’s clash between Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City in the first leg of our Champions League quarter-final doubleheader had plenty of talking points.

A penalty that never was, a referee who doesn’t understand clear and obvious error, elbows, a Son Heung-Min winner and a second night to remember in the new White Hart Lane Stadium.

Allied to that was the horrible looking ankle turn sustained by Harry Kane in his challenge with fellow England man Fabian Delph, that saw him limp off the pitch after being replaced by Lucas Moura and then half carried down the tunnel so he didn’t put any excess weight on it.

Manager Mauricio Pochettino was rightly concerned about a potential lengthy layoff and an early end to his 2018/19 season and they will obviously have been concerns that our 25-year-old top goalscorer has thought about himself.

Whether the worst news comes to pass or we (he) gets lucky, Kane’s attitude hasn’t taken a knock and that’s at least one thing to be pleased about given it’s his fifth ankle injury in two and a half years I believe.

With plenty of fans (click on the Tweet) commenting along the lines of just take the summer off now and recover fully, you can certainly understand that sentiment.
