“Shouldn’t have substituted Parrott” – A lot of Tottenham Hotspur fans were pleased by the performance of Troy Parrott but then could not believe that Mauricio Pochettino took him off for Christian Eriksen.
The 17-year-old was handed his senior debut in Tottenham’s defeat to Colchester United in the Carabao Cup, and for 66 minutes he was quietly impressive – as he displayed good movement throughout the game.
The only problem Parrott had was that his teammates created nothing for him all night.
Eriksen was brought on and made no impact on the game and then missed a penalty in the shootout.
Tottenham probably would have been better off leaving Parrott on the pitch and many Spurs fans were annoyed to see the young Irishman taken off.
See the best of the reaction below.

He’s still 17, a lot more to come from him.

I’m sick as a Parrott that Troy had no service.

Shame to see the future replaced by the past. Eriksen doesn’t want to be there. Move him on.

Shouldn’t have substituted parrott.
I really think that had he played the full match, we would have got the goal definitely.— archí (@theonlyspursfan) September 25, 2019
These Spurs supporters were furious that Parrott was taken off.
That’s also not wanyama

How is Wanyama still on?

How the hell is wanyama still on the pitch

Other Tottenham fans could not believe Victor Wanyama remained on the pitch and Parrott was substituted.
