Fulham’s Ryan Sessegnon saw one of his Twitter posts hijacked by a number of Tottenham Hotspur fans on Tuesday evening.

The 19-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to the new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for a considerable amount of time, however, speculation appears to have intensified over the last few months.

He is thought to have told the Championship outfit that he wants to move to Spurs this summer (Guardian), which has also been backed up by The Mirror recently as they revealed his heart is set on a move to the north London side.

We are thought to value Sessegnon at the £25million mark (Daily Mail), however, Mauricio Pochettino and Daniel Levy may have their work cut out for them this summer. Fulham are believed to want a figure closer to £35m for their versatile star (The Sun).

Taking to Twitter to wish England’s Lionesses luck ahead of their Woman’s World Cup semi-final match against the U.S.A., a number of the Tottenham faithful decided it would be the opportune time to try and convince him to sign for us.

Plenty of Spurs fans hijacked his twitter post by stating that he should come and join us for the upcoming campaign with some of them asking him when he would be signing.

Sometimes less is more as the majority of them simply put ‘COYS’ whilst another stated ‘You’re Spurs and you know you are’.

Here are just some of those reactions…

  • We will sign him only when Fulham realise what the rest of us saw last season- Ryan was a flop and couldn’t hack it in the Prem, looked like a championship player and now is one again. That is why Spurs will not risk 45M on him, I actually think Celtic’s Tierney is superior and is a proper LB, Ryan looks like a LM and is not a defender or a winger so is actually a 442 player like RM Trippier- Poch must stop putting square pegs in round holes…
