How Tough Is Daniel Levy – A New Dawn At Spurs Awaits

|

Writer: Kay R

Fans moaning, experts criticizing, pundits mocking, managers breaking down the chairman’s door or leaving, players crumbling under the allure of better pay contracts elsewhere, media always attacking or constructing lethal doomsday analysis, all based on the stinginess of one Daniel Levy. The noise must be deafening, unbearable from outside.

But I have a plan! A vision! A route to the top of football for all of us! One penny saved at a time!

It is too intricate to explain, too arrogant to suggest, too fairy-tale-like for the media which will bring more mock and ridicule to our fans. So I need to keep my head down, keep my idea in my pocket, invite a handful and convince them to follow my lead, grind away and believe.

This idea is now my existence, my oxygen, my daily cross that would eventually grant us respect, adoration, salvation, and the chance to sit at the table of the world football’s elite. I have to shut my ears, harden my skin, brace for the blows, evade the naysayers, and focus. Say as little as you must. Keep working.

2019, Champions League football in one of the world’s best stadiums, the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. There is still noise outside, but it has a better sound to it, almost uplifting, calming, re-assuring. Can I rest now?

No! I am halfway through. Keep your head down, stay focused! If I tell the world I want the best team in the world playing in our stadium, they may laugh again, ridicule again, or even sabotage my plan. So, say as little as you must. Grind away. I have to be tough. Tough is good. Tough is a lion, tough is needed. Tough got me this far.

A new dawn awaits, so tough it out!
