Whilst the reaction from Spurs fans who had followed his development through our Academy ranks was completely understandable, it seems good news travels fast as plenty of Cambridge fans on social media were absolutely delighted with his capture.
Great to see a lot of our youth boys will be getting senior appearances but Roles is far too good for League 2. Hopefully he smashes it there

The 20-year-old will no doubt need a bit of time to settle in and get used to his new colleagues and it’ll certainly be a step up from youth football, but it should be a fantastic experience and bring his development on leaps and bounds.
Be interesting to see how he gets on.
