Harry Kane ‘open’ to signing new deal at Spurs

|

Amongst all the bad news surrounding the club at the moment, there has actually been some positive developments in regards to Harry Kane’s future at Tottenham.

That is according to David Ornstein, who this morning stated that the striker is in fact open to signing a new contract at Spurs – with talks planned for after the January transfer window.

The journalist also went on to say that the striker’s priority is to succeed with Tottenham, which will be music to the ears of Spurs fans.

As this news follows a number of reports actually linking Kane with a move away from North London, with rumours of a possible move to Manchester United hotting up in recent weeks (more on that here).

With 18 months left on his deal, it is vital that the Lilywhites fend off interest from other clubs and tie down Kane for a few more years. That is because the 29-year-old has been one of the few bright spots in a pretty disappointing season for Spurs, currently sitting second in the Premier League goalscoring charts with 15 goals so far this season.

Kane’s decision however will likely be impacted by the uncertainty surrounding Antonio Conte at the moment, with the Italian’s future at Spurs seemingly up in the air at the moment (read here).
