These Tottenham Hotspur fans have been looking back on Dele Alli’s goal during our 3-1 victory against Crystal Palace in 2016.

The England international scored the goal of the day as we stormed to victory in south London, with Harry Kane and Nacer Chadli making up the scoring tally.

The 23-year-old flicked the ball up back over his own head and hit a wonderful strike into the bottom left-hand corner, beating the Eagles’ shot-stopper Wayne Hennessey at his near post.

Is this Dele Alli's best goal for Tottenham?

Yes

No

Alan Pardew, who was in charge of Palace at the time, said that the goal was “horrible to watch“. He added that he “feared the worst” as soon as Dele set himself up for the shot.

As a result, supporters were drooling over his strike and made their feelings clear about it on social media. Several superlatives were used to describe his goal. One fan said that it was the “goal of the century” and another said it was a “beauty”, while another stated that it was “great times” for the club.
