Following the sale of Tottenham Hotspur right back Kieran Trippier over the summer, manager Mauricio Pochettino has largely favoured Academy graduate Kyle Walker-Peters so far during the 2019/20 Premier League campaign but with the lad suffering an injury, the last match ahead of the September international break saw Davison Sanchez fill in, to mixed success.
Although KWP has now returned to first team training, there is a question over whether he comes back into Pochettino’s thoughts for this weekend’s clash with Crystal Palace, but there are certainly those fans who haven’t forgotten about Serge Aurier.
Aurier is another player who splits the fanbase, but the 26-year-old Ivory Coast international was on show for his country this last fortnight and in their clash with Tunisia on Tuesday evening, he skippered the side to a 2-1 victory.
Having only been named on the substitutes bench twice so far this campaign, plenty of fans on social media felt that if KWP definitely wasn’t available, Aurier should get another shot to impress.

In the interests of balance, there were certainly those fans who didn’t want Pochettino to entertain the above suggestions as we go in search of three points and a return to winning ways.
