Tottenham agreed a deal for Tanguy Ndombele on Tuesday evening and some fans are delighted with the news. Spurs hadn’t made a permanent signing since January 2018, but the Lilywhites have made a big statement of intent by making Ndombele their club-record signing.
Absolutely fantastic signing for spurs ????

Huge signing for Spurs. Shows that they are willing to spend the money for the right player. Excellent player already and will only get better. #THFC #COYS

Class player, he'll do well for Spurs. A bit like Fabinho did when he joined us.

Mauricio Pochettino sold Mousa Dembele in January 2019 and failed to replace him before the winter transfer window shut, so a new face was expected to be brought in this summer. Ndombele could be an influential signing too. The 22-year-old has combative attributes, drives with the ball from deep and can create numerous chances for his teammates.
Tottenham may have found themselves an upgrade on the player they sold five months ago, but they’ve had to smash their transfer record to land his signature. Ndombele will set the Lilywhites back £65m, but he could be worth every penny if he can replicate his Lyon form – 34 Ligue 1 appearances, one goal, seven assists.
Spurs fans will be excited to see what their most expensive player can do next season and will hope he could boost their chances of attaining silverware. For Lyon, Ndombele operated in a defensive-midfield and central-midfield role. The French international provides a box-to-box threat and should impress alongside any midfield partner.
