Report: Talented player expected to have Tottenham medical imminently

|

Jack Clarke looks set to become a Tottenham Hotspur player in the very near future.

According to a report by Football Insider, the Leeds United winger is expected to have a medical on Wednesday ahead of completing a move worth around £8.5million plus add-ons.

Provided there are no complications, the teenager could be a Spurs player imminently as they look to finally tie up a deal that appears to have gone on forever.

The 18-year-old had a standout year at Elland Road last season as he managed to break into the first-team, contributing with two goals and two assists in his 24 appearances in the Championship.

He showed the amount of quality and potential he has in his game under the guidance of Marcelo Bielsa and that will certainly make him an attractive recruit for Mauricio Pochettino moving forward.

The teenager fits the mould of the type of player we want in our side moving forward as he is a talented young prospect with plenty of years ahead of him (Independent).

As we mentioned before in a previous article here on Vital Spurs, we are not quite sure if he will be given the chance to make a huge impact in the first-team straight away, however, he did record some encouraging stats with Leeds when he was given the chance to play competitive football.

According to stats collected by WhoScored, Clarke managed an average of 1.1 successful dribbles per match and 0.7 key passes per game, something that would undoubtedly improve with more minutes in senior football.

It will be interesting to see what the future holds for Clarke with us, however, with his imminent arrival, hopefully, it will start to get the ball rolling in the transfer market and provide a knock-on effect that sees a number of other talented players arrive this summer.
