‘Destroying our club’ – Some Spurs fans want one player ‘nowhere near the team’

|

Spurs fans were far from happy with Christian Eriksen’s performance against Everton, with the Danish international continuing to struggle in a Tottenham shirt.

Eriksen made it clear during the summer that he was looking for a move away from Spurs and has been very poor for Mauricio Pochettino’s side so far this season. The 27-year-old joined from Ajax in 2013 for £11.5 million.

This season the midfielder has averaged a 6.68, scoring just once in a Spurs shirt and appears to have lost interest in playing for the North London club. Another poor performance this weekend from Eriksen has led to fans demanding his exclusion from the team. Out of contract in the summer, Spurs may look to move the £90 million-rated man on in January, or risk losing him for free at the end of the season.

Fans of the club certainly don’t want the attacking midfielder starting for the club, but it seems as if Pochettino disagrees, with the Danish international having featured in 10 Premier League games already this campaign.

Should Eriksen be starting for Spurs?

Yes

No

Reactions from Spurs fans to Eriksen’s latest poor performance can be seen in the tweets below.

Spurs fans clearly want to see Eriksen leave the club sooner rather than later after another poor display from the 27-year-old.
