Spurs fans are worried about Heung-Min Son after he left the pitch in tears following the injury suffered by Andre Gomes during Spurs’ 1-1 draw with Everton this weekend.
The South Korea international was sent off by referee Martin Atkinson after his tackle on Andre Gomes, which resulted in the Portuguese midfielder leaving the pitch on a stretcher. Son looked devastated as his challenge caused serious accidental damage to the Everton man and Spurs fans are concerned that it could affect the rest of his season.
Son had contributed the assist for the Spurs goal, with Dele Alli opening the scoring after a pass from Son. However, he was sent off by Atkinson, who had originally brought out a yellow card but changed his mind. The red card will mean that Son will miss out on Spurs’ next three Premier League games against Sheffield United, West Ham and Bournemouth, unless the club lodge a successful appeal.
Thoughts are primarily and rightfully concerned with Andre Gomes after his awful injury, but many Spurs fans are worried that Son could be seriously impacted psychologically after he clearly felt guilty that his challenge had unfortunately caused the injury.
Should Heung-Min Son have been sent off?

Hope he is taken good care of.
This can really psychologically torment someone, it was an innocent challenge with a freak outcome

This man is too kind to have this amount of stress put on him. I hope he’s ok. Sonny’s mental health is more important than the rest of the season
