It wasn’t a great weekend for Tottenham Hotspur fans as we suffered the expected defeat to Liverpool at White Hart Lane on Saturday, but the game did have some bright points if you were glancing in the right direction.
Young Academy graduate Japhet Tanganga was certainly a high point as the 20-year-old made his Premier League debut for us and big things are expected from the lad as 2019/20 becomes his breakthrough year, and although he received plenty of praise post-game, attacker Lucas Moura also took his fair share given his efforts on the day.
Got to say, Lucas Moura was brilliant today. Ran his socks off and worked relentlessly, often screaming for the ball even when under pressure. Had his fair share of criticism this season and rightly so, but turned up today in abundance. #COYS

With a few efforts on target and a handful of key passes in the game, he was one of our outlets as we looked to try and get back to parity after their opening goal, and although we didn’t quite manage to do that, the Brazilian came in for good praise on social media as fans reflected on his efforts.
I agree, tough job for him but never one to shy away. Gives it his all

Irritates me the slander he gets. He can be frustrating I understand that, but he's always looking to get forward, deserves more respect, I'm not for slandering players but I don't see the same energy for Alli who in my opinion hasn't been great for weeks now.
