“Concerned But Optimistic” – Many Spurs Fans Will Find Themselves In The Same Position With The Ongoing Media Attacks

Personally I am concerned, not so much about this media stuff because quite frankly I doubt Mauricio Pochettino would have anyone represent him and certainly not at the moment. He is totally focused on preparations for the Champions League Final and he wouldn’t need or want any distractions, so this is why I think it rubbish.

I’m certain if Juventus are interested in him he would have already spoke to them and said he is not available to consider or discuss until after CL final. So this so called meeting is rubbish imo.

Look at what happened when Kyle Walker went into his office when we were fighting for the Premier League, this is what MP doesn’t like. It’s disrespectful. The most that may have happened is they contacted him and Daniel Levy about possible availability and MP would immediately said he cannot speak or consider until after CL final. He would not get representatives to represent him when he is preparing for this massive game.

However, my concern is he may decide to leave whether we win or not. First, if we win and he feels the investment isn’t going to make us compete at this level again, fighting for Champions League but also competing more for the Premier League, then he may feel there is nowhere else to go with our club.

If we win, how can we match that again will be in his mind and how can we win the League and I suspect he would want assurances of enough investment, a doable realistic plan and if Levy can’t give him that he may feel he has taken us as far as he can.

If we lose, he will feel he needs enough investment to convince him we can progress enough in terms of competing in the PL and again if he doesn’t feel the investment is enough he may quit and go to another club where he can prove to himself he can win trophies, he has now proved how good he can be and not getting over the line again may the nail in the coffin.

However, he may be so happy with his achievements and with the investment, he wants to stay and finish the next project and be with us for many years. So in a way I’m concerned but I’m also optimistic. I just don’t believe he has even invested any time in another club and wouldn’t until after the final.
