Responding to a gesture from Spurs midfielder Eric Dier, some Lilywhites have flocked to praise his ‘lovely’ move of raising CPA awareness by sharing a heartwarming message on Twitter.
Dier, who started 10 games for Tottenham this season before the Premier League’s untimely postponement, has since gone to support a child’s dream to walk again – sending a heartfelt message on social media to Ryley, aged 2, who is currently undergoing physiotherapy.
After having heart surgery, Ryley was then diagnosed with a condition called Spastic Diplegia Cerebral Palsy – with medical professionals telling family members it would result in him never being able to walk.
However, determined not to give up, Ryley’s family have issued a JustGiving page in order to raise funds for life changing SDR surgery, post-operative care and physiotherapy to lead a more independent life.
As midfielder Dier raises awareness through a special message on Twitter, these Spurs fans have flocked to do the same.
Absolutely inspirational from Ryley and what a lovely message from Eric, you can see it’s straight from the heart, he really is an incredibly kind hearted, thoughtful, genuine and sincere guy and great representative of our club
