Loads of Tottenham Hotspur fans heaped praise on defender Toby Alderweireld for his kind gesture to those less fortunate during the coronavirus pandemic.
The Premier League season has ground to a halt due to the number of cases increasing in relation to the illness, with football not expected to take place until April 30th at the earliest.
Letters are due to be sent by the Government that will tell 1.5 million people in England to stay at home, who are most at risk of contracting the virus. As a result, there will be family members that will be unable to see each other and the Belgian defender posted on Twitter to say he was going to help out.
Will the Premier League be concluded this season?
Yes
No
He plans to buy “dozens of tablets” to give to hospitals and nursing homes so that people can communicate with their loved ones.
Because of this, supporters were in awe of Alderweireld’s kind actions and made their feelings clear about him on social media. One fan said that it was a “class act from a class footballer and human being”.

Amazing gesture to help patients & families emotionally. Something so simple but could make all the difference to them.
