With Tottenham Hotspur again facing midweek Champions League disappointment as we let a two goal lead slip against Greek opponents Olympiakos, there was every reason for Spurs fans to vent their frustrations following the full time whistle.
For the more glass full, there were certainly some positives that could be taken as even though Lucas Moura (given his strike on the day) was a popular choice for Man of the Match, Academy graduate Harry Winks went about his business quietly, and pretty effectively on the night, even if he didn’t quite catch the limelight for many.
Harry Winks’ performance against Olympiacos for Tottenham:
• 101 Touches (Most On The Pitch)
• 100% Tackle Success
• 100% Dribble Success
• 83 Passes (94.3%)
• 2/2 Long Balls
• 7 Recoveries
• 5 Duels Won
• 2 ClearancesWinksy can hold his head up high. 💙👏🏻#THFC #COYS pic.twitter.com/78PHtn0fDN

With little else to shout about from the performance once we decided to take our foot off the gas and allowed them some belief, and then back into the tie, Winks definitely came in for some praise after the final whistle as fans took to social media to reflect on the 90 minutes.
And still overlooked by England for Henderson!!

He was superb. He’s just an excellent footballer. Think he and Ndombele could be magnificent together.

Yet everyone says Dier should be started I front of him! Idiots, Dier ain't got nothing on Winks. He has been one of, of not our best player this season so far.

The only bright spot from today. Maybe Lucas too.

Winksy can always hold his head high. How he isn't starting for England I don't know.

RM are more likely to buy the “new Modric” @HarryWinks than @ChrisEriksen8
