“How weird” – A lot of Tottenham Hotspur fans are baffled to see that Lewis Holtby has signed for Blackburn Rovers.
Tottenham’s former midfielder, who made 42 appearances and scored three goals, was a free agent after Hamburg released him, and Blackburn have snapped him up in what must be considered a coup for them.
Holtby is a full German international and arrives at Ewood Park five years after he left England for Germany.
The 29-year-old was not the greatest success at Spurs, though, some fans are happy to see Holtby back in England.

I remember that guy. Defensively he was slightly better than me.— (((Disloyal))) (@RandyHauser) September 19, 2019
These Spurs fans are so confused that Holtby has signed for Blackburn.

@davemcn1981 good player you have got yourselves, excellent work rate his height might be a problem in the Championship but if gets enough games will get you the goals

Many Spurs supporters though are pleased to see Holtby at a club.
Holtby struggled in the Premier League, but he should turn out to be an astute signing for Blackburn – as his technical ability and creativity should make the Championship relatively easy for Holtby.
