Reacting to Twitter footage taken from Serge Aurier’s Instagram account, these Tottenham supporters have been absolutely livid over the Frenchman’s antics along with teammate Moussa Sissoko – with the pair seemingly flouting lockdown rules by training together.
The clip, showcasing Aurier and Sissoko doing drills as a collective in the outdoors, has prompted an angry response from Spurs fans and the media alike – with the duo having to apologise for their actions after receiving backlash.
UK Government guidelines state that you can only exercise on your own or with people who reside in the same house, with the pair going on to release a statement apologising and insisting that, as footballers, they have a duty to be ‘role models‘ whilst respecting the law.
Is the backlash warranted?
Absolutely
Not in my opinion
In response, a handful of Spurs fans have voiced their discontent over the training session, describing it as ‘brain dead‘ and ‘foolish‘.
Here’s what they had to say on Twitter.
Braindead the pair of them
