The departure of Christian Eriksen is slowly becoming a matter of ‘when’ rather than ‘if’, yet despite his antics that have led to this entire situation, Tottenham players are still siding with the Danish playmaker.
Eric Dier on Christian Eriksen boos at Spurs:
“He has always handled himself in the best way. He’s always been one of the most professional players I’ve known.
One of the best players at Tottenham on the most consistent basis. He does not deserve that from anyone.”#THFC #COYS pic.twitter.com/FvTuISr2tp

Eric Dier slammed a minority of Tottenham fans in a recent interview with The Evening Standard after he admitted that Eriksen didn’t deserve to be booed following Spurs’ 2-1 win against Norwich City this week, with the 27-year-old midfielder being a regular target for abuse from some supporters.
Will you miss Christian Eriksen?
Yes
No
Eriksen has quickly become one of the most unpopular players in the current Tottenham squad, yet some supporters on social media sided with Dier in his defence for the Danish playmaker, with a few fans saying that no player should be on the receiving end of boos from their own fans.
Here’s what some Tottenham fans had to say on Twitter about Dier’s comments…
Anyone who booed him is a disgrace, yes his form has dipped but people seem to be forgetting what he’s done for the club… have some respect

What image does it send to other players who we want to sign..
Eriksen being booed is not the answer..
We should of got behind him and tried everything to change his mind and stay..

He should of instead got a standing ovation, been a fantastic player for us. Some of our fans are a complete embarrassment to the club.

Spot on Dier. No need for the boos.
Thanks for everything & good luck

If you boo you’r players then you are not a fan, period.

Supported Spurs since 61’. We just seem to be a club that finds it difficult to say goodbye to its heroes…especially if they go on to better things. It just results in blank pages in our player history. Berbatov Modric Keane Sheringham Carrick, unsatisfactory departures reason?

As reported by The Guardian, Eriksen’s move to Inter Milan is set to be completed within the next few days.
