This week’s 1-0 loss to RB Leipzig has caused a cloud of negativity to float over Tottenham, yet the players are speaking through to supporters with important words of logic.
“Everyone is believing, I can’t say anything different. We know we can do it.”@daosanchez26 on the second-leg in Leipzig.#UCL ⚪️ #COYS

Davinson Sanchez told the club’s official website that despite the deficit going into next month’s second-leg in Germany, Spurs are still effectively only 1-0 down going to Leipzig, and they are far from out of the contest with just a sole goal separating the two teams.
Can Lucas star in Kane and Son's absence?
Yes
No
And some Tottenham fans on social media admired this stance on the defeat, with a handful rallying behind the squad to go to east Germany and overturn their first-leg loss and progress to the Champions League quarter-finals for the second year in a row.
Here’s what a few Spurs supporters had to say on Twitter about Sanchez’s comments…
I think it’s great the players are remaining positive – we’re effectively one goal down at half time, no team should feel they need to give up when trailing by one single goal, it’s still all to play for COYS

Spurs will still be without Harry Kane and Heung-min Son for the return leg in March due to injury.
