13-goal ace could be summer solution to long-term Spurs issue

|

The fantastic games keep on coming in English football and you have to doff your cap to Leeds United and Derby County who played out a thriller last night.

It was a fantastic game and reminded me of what we did the week before to get to the Champions League final.

Exciting times, then, and exciting times could be on the way in the summer transfer window, too, as Spurs look to improve their squad.

Indeed, one link is suggesting we’re eyeing a solution to a long-standing piece.

According to the Guardian, we’re looking at 13-goal striker Maxi Gomez who has shone at Celta Vigo.

A striker, we need someone that can be a capable back-up to Harry Kane and push him for a place in the side.

Fernando Llorente just probably isn’t the right fit, whilst Vincent Janssen is far from confident and other names have been and gone.

It’s a long-standing issue, but here we have a player younger than Kane, capable of feeding off of scraps as Vigo have been poor this year and so, hopefully, he’ll be able to take chances when he is given the opportunity to play.

We need someone that stays sharp on the bench, he could be that man.
